Rho Mu Delta Medical Honor Society (RMD) is the academic honor society at Ross University School of Medicine. It was created by a collaboration of students, faculty, and administration, who sought to enhance the university's offering of accolades. It is meant to recognize those students who not only achieve academic success, but are passionate towards significantly impacting RUSM and their community in a positive way.
As established by the Office of Student Affairs, requirements for membership into RMD are as follows:
Pass USMLE Step 1 on the first attemptāÆĀ Ā
Successfully complete all core clerkship rotationsāÆĀ Ā
Pass all six Subject Clerkship Exams on the first attemptĀ
Have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higherĀ Ā
Be in good standing with the university, including the Office of Student ConductĀ
Demonstrate significant contributions in leadership and service with supporting letter of recommendation
Note: students who received RMD Emerging Scholar Distinction during semester 5 are not automatically guaranteed full membership, and must meet the criteria listed above to be recognized at graduation.Ā
